The Mind of A Mountain Climber

cover.jpg

The Mind of a Mountain Climber is a capstone book that features four stories about some of the most extraordinary climbs in history. The reason that I chose this topic is because I have always had a love for mountains, anyone who knows me or has seen my past work can attest to that. And while I love to climb, I haven’t always had the capability, skill, or physical health to do so. So I wanted to create a book that would allow people interested in these climbs but who don’t necessarily have the capability to venture off and climb themselves, to have the opportunity to live through these athletes and experience their journeys in a different way. The book features magazine articles and documentary sections, showing both the aftermath and the climb in real time. I wanted to illustrate both the chaos and beauty that can be found in these climbs and the exceptional skill and athleticism that are required to complete these climbs. A full version of the book can be viewed here.
